when i went out earlier to buy the ingredients for my chicken parmigiana ... i couldn't help but notice the Christmas tree displayed inside our neighbor's home... it seems like yesterday we spent our Christmas in Pagbilao. It was a very special, happy and meaningful Christmas. I am glad I was able to spend it with Rico's family.

what i learned for the past 5 years

1. Use 5 whys always. Also STAR is applicable even in your daily life... not only in coaching :) hahahaha

2. I will always be a daddy's girl and Rico's spoiled bratty significant other...no matter what :) hahaha

3. Assumption is indeed the mother of all fuck ups.

4. Smile in your calls, it will increase your CSAT. This was part of the very first action plan i got from my very first team lead in cvg. And it really did helped.... A LOT!

5.Being offline for more than 1 month is not fun. - June 2005 was the lowest, saddest part of my convergys life. I was not doing anything. My CSAT was a mess and they asked me to go on offline. I feel sooo unproductive. I felt that i was not needed by the company, I almost resigned but thanks to the encouragement of my tl and om i didn't.

6. When applying for a position make sure to prepare for the interview, I mean really prepare.- I applied 3 times for the team lead post in cvg, first was December 2004 (yep I was not even a regular employee yet!) for an account in Alabang, I was able to go to the final interview , 2nd was in 2007 , this was the scariest of them all... last application was April of 2007 (after months and months of preparation I decided to apply then I got in!).

7. You deserve a break. It has always been a tradition for me to get something fancy every year . I discovered that :

iPOD photo is one of the coolest thing on earth (2004/2005)
one must really learn to love onself. Do not let yourself rot in a relationship that you know it's not doing any good for you. (2005)
digicam is a must (2006)
Disneyland is indeed one of the happiest place on earth (2007)
pink clamshell phone is the most kikay thing one could have (2007)
nintendo wii and flatscreen tv : perfect combination (2008)

8. There really is a career in the call center business. The last five years of my life i have inched myself up to the career ladder of cvg. From TSR to DCA to QSp to TL. Last July 16 I was promoted to being a TL2. And I am soo glad that I was given a chance to prove what I can do for the company :) I have learned a lot and And i hope to spend more years here.

9. PBCOM tower has a lot of experience to offer it's tenants. Even after experiencing an earthquake , numerous rallies / anti gloria - chacha campaigns ,and a supertyphoon inside the buidling , PBCOM still offers the best view of Metro Manila . I love staying in the office during Saturdays and Sundays , specifically in the afternoon,, I love the view, I love the calmness and peacefulness that it brings to me. I love the fireworks display during the new year.

10. Expect the Unexpected.

I never expected to fall in love with the kindest most loving and patient man I know,,, but now we are approaching our 4th year together. Who would think that we were never really that close to beging with... :)
I never expected that I'll handle the BEST team in PBCom but I did.
I never expected that I'll received that call last October 16 2005 from my tita informing me that daddy passed away already while I am on AUTO IN.
I never expected to be friends with the most wonderful people I have ever met in my life.
I never expected to stay in CVG for more than 2 years.
I never expected that I'll be on the dayshift... but then again we are :)
I never expected to be this happy BUT I AM.

The five years was indeed a roller coaster ride , fun and exciting. I have cried , laughed , daydreamed and stressed myself out A LOT during the last half of a decade but it's all good. I have met a lot of people , they come and go but they will all hold a special place in my heart.

Probably this is the best time to say thank you to Sir Eric for giving me a chance to sign the Job offer that I declined in the first place. If not for him then my life wouldnt be as happy and as exciting and contented as it is right now...

1. I think I am a spoiled brat... Rico says so :) hahaha

2. I totally am a SARAH GERONIMO FAN. If someone's gonna say something bad about her , that someone will be on my BAD SIDE LIST ... ndi ko na friend yun!.

3. I am a Methodist. My kids will be Methodist whatever Rico says.

4. I sing... I may joke about it but I do..

5. I don't know how to swim .

6. I don't know how to ride the bike either... looser!

7. I passed UPCAT... yes I did. There were only 4 people from our school who passed UPCAT.. the valedictorian , the salutatorian , the 1st honorable mention and me... was I even in the Top 10 of the class.. I don't think so... hehehe

8. I entered PLM coz my mom told me so. She said it would be cost efficient for our family if I attend PLM than UP..... PT was their choice, Masscomm was mine... now I sometimes wonder what could have happened if I am a PT today ... ???

9. I love travelling. 2-3 Out of town trips a year is a must!

10. I enjoy watching TV series... Gossip Girl . Ugly Betty and The Big Bang Theory.. a must download every week.. FrIends... all time pick me upper!

11. The only korean novela that I watched , cried and laughed with are... Princess Hours.. Lovers in Paris and Meteor Garden.

12.I've never been to a dentist until I had my braces. That was the only time that I agreed to see a dentist. But come to think of it . I am toooo tamad to see my ortho !

13. I developed my love for coffee when I was in college. Late night / Overnight study sessions , coffee is a must.. as well as RX 93.1

14. The first and last time that I am gonna ride a roller coaster was last June 2007 , Space Mountain HK Disneyland... For now... y? I don't like , enjoy riding roller coasters... Log Jam carry PA!

15. I am easy to get along with. If I don't like you I won't talk to you. If you talk to me , I might respond but I won't open up a conversation with you.

16. I am a teritorial person.

17. I cry A LOT.

18. If we can't settle down in Bataan (which is impossible!), I am now considering Quezon Province as a place to raise my kids.

19. While writing this I am now thinking that I am a boring person...

20. I have allergic rhinitis , sinusitis and probably asthma.. all given to me by my MOM.

21. I declared every 21st of February as a HOLIDAY. Ever since , I don't really go to school and work during that day. I think this year is different.

22. I don't like celebrating Valentine's day. Probably because my birthday is just a week after. Flowers are cheaper, every valentine's gift is already on sale by that time.

23.We plan to get hitched this year or early next year. But then I want to get a car also this year... car ? wedding? car? wedding? ... hmmmm CAR!

24. I collect starbucks bearista bears.. That's the first collection that I have for myself... Thanks to Rico.

25. My kids will be named Francesca Loiuse and Peter Enzo.

ganto ba talaga? kapag ala kang magawa napapadiskitahan mo ang blog mo... pang ilang entry ko na to for today.... sabagay napakahirap naman kasing mag blog kapag may ginagawa kang iba.. kapag busy busyhan ang kagandahan mo sa pag tratrabaho ... hay mahirap maging diyosa...
kaya sobrang naappreciate ko ang pag tambay ko ngayon dito sa office.. tutal pasko naman mamaya so ok na... carry kung baga... pamasko na samin...

nakakaaliw masaya din pala ang pasko ko... akala ko malungkot...

yeah i know before posting this guitar hero blog i should have posted my camiguin pics... but then they're sooo big and who would have thought that we will have 1693 pictures for the span of four days.... so i'll save that for another time... pending muna..

last sunday rico kuya nino my mom and i went to greenhills for a "family" lunch and shopping....
i got myself a memory card for my phone ...and the crocs o-dial for my phone and an earphone for my phone... hahaha yup got my phone pimped! then the two boys got Guitar Hero for the xbox 360 at home... at first i told myself... i won't even touch it ... ever.. coz im gonna wait til december for our wii....

but
yesterday supposedly rico and i have a date coz we barely see each other at all :) but then when he arrived at home i was dead tired... why? i was tired after playing guitar hero for 2 straight hours :) and now ... we postponed again our date since rico is not feeling well... kuya's not at home and rico's in front of the pc.... am not playing with my laptop...

My Birthday Month

february is such a busy month for me. it is such a special month since this is my birth-month. also i have this habit of celebrating a MONTH LONG celebration.
the celebration includes.... getting everything i want... well at least more favorable for me.... being carefree and stress free and getting ready for my VACATION :)

this year vacation started when (me , Rico, Ayza and Jazz) got the time to bond together and spent 2 days in BAGUIO. Stayed at a luxurious looking very comfy but not that pricey Goldenpine Hotel just a little stroll away from Burnham. It was a pretty happy , wintery feeling being there since we didnt spent a lot that much but we got to laid back relax and sleep a LOT!

Rico and I decided not to celebrate Valentine's day on the day itself since our monthsary will be on the 17th and my birthday will be on the 21st. we just decided that we will have a Valentine-Monthsary-Birthday celebration which was fine for me :) But still last Feb 13, He got me a Bearista Bear and a coffee tumbler :)

Then came the day that I got my new toy :) Kuya Boy gave me my Toshiba Satellite A215 sumthing sumthing as his birthday gift ... I was sooo excited since I was saving for one but I got mine for free. Thanks to Kuya Rey and Ate Myrna who delivered her fresh hot from CA. I am also very thankful to Ate Rose for being one of the reasons why I have "her" with me na.

Since I vowed to myself that I will take good care of her (yes... her) I got her covered , pimped and Rico and Kuya Nino went with me that one fine afternoon at Rob Malate. We had her GMASKed which was by the way one of the MosT AmAzINg Things ever done , invented and made publicly available. I also got a laptop sleeves from TIMBUK2 which is in color RED!... We ate at KKK which then I learned why not to drink Bottomless Sago't Gulaman before meals and the only bottomless part was the syrup... tapioca not included/single serve only(boohoo)...

Rico got his 2nd toy for this month (Power Rangers Mystic Force) at Toys R Us... I am glad that Rico was able to get the 2 power rangers already since he doesn't have any reasons to drool when he sees one in the toy store ... hehehehe kidding ...

Then came my birthday , Feb 21, we went home from Bataan last Feb 20 after an overnight stay at home. I just feel serenity and energized even just staying at home for 24 hours. Rico instructed me to fix my room as soon as we get home. I said ok.

Then when I opened my bedroom door what welcomed me was this Big fluffy cream colored bear sitting on top of my bed which was then full with rose petals in read white and pink colors.

I can't hide my emotions and i started to jump and smile and hug Rico who then emerged from their room handing me a big bouquet of a dozen pink roses with orchids and white little flowers. I was not really expecting something that day since he said that he havent gotten anything for me since he doesnt have the time to get it.But i knew that he is planning something since he is not allowing me to read the messages on his mobile phone for that particular day , I thought he was asking kuya nino to buy me a gift and rico will give it to me personally but to arrange such thing... wah I cant ask anything more perfect than that.
I texted kuya nino thanking him for helping rico arrange the plan. I know that it was only him who will be his accomplice... he said that it was all Rico's idea and he just executed it.

We both prepared food that night to bring to the office the next day wherein i would like to admit was a success... no food was wasted and some where still asking for 2nds... i am so sad i wasnt able to feed everybody.. but then i will make it up to you guys (my CBT family).

Mom visited during the weekend. We spent the whole afternoon watching tv and discussing the latest buzz in showbiz (one of our favorite pastime...) She was very glad that I got her the new K magazine edition. She spent the night here in Lealtad and said that she will help me get a helper to clean the house even twice a month. I am glad that everything is OK with my mom and me. I am glad that she and Rico are getting along very good. I know Daddy can see us and he is very pleased as well.

Cluster Calibrations are one of the highlights of my workweek. Though I am not scheduled to attend CW cluster's calibration, I still look forward to the Friday Morning sessions. It is one of the time of the week that i feel less stressed , fun and enjoyable. Plus OM Jigger brings food and refreshments to keep us awake and full during sessions.

Work is still the same. One of the very good news that I heard lately was CONVERGYS is opening a site beside SM San Lazaro. I would love to be part of the pioneer team for that site. It will be such a rewarding thing if they can transfer me over to that site. As Mike Nismal said , "Neighbor, isang kembot lang nandun na tayo." .... sana.

ANTM was good .. (yehey Bianca's eliminated already!!) ... Project Runway was ok.. then came PNB... I was fortunate enough that it is still in www.youtube.com and our DSL is 2MB already...
and as always.. IT MADE ME CRY... wah... soo sad...

instead of me going home to bataan , she insisted that we spend her birthday here in manila.
we ate , shopped , talked and laughed then she went home .
part of me is sad again. on my way home it hit me, this was her first birthday that she and i spent together all by ourselves. i hoped she had fun coz i had a blast.

i am so glad and so blessed on the kind of relationship my mom and i have.

i love her so much.

more than a year of being together , we have a LOT to give thanks ... God has been and is always gracious to the both of us as well as to our family....

we had our anniversary date at the nestle creamery in aurora ave. cubao...

the menu... as big as half of an illustration board... whoa...
i asked the waiter if i could bring it home... he said i can't... boohoo!! (hahaha)

camwhoring while waiting for the food... :)

soon here they come one by one.... rico had the chicken sumthing that was served in a sizzling platter ... i had the creamy pesto chicken alfredo...
twas a great meal that we so much enjoyed... we also ordered a seafood and vegetable tempura but it was so yummy that i forgot to take a picture of it ... hahahaha

and of course the dessert! we had the tatlong itlog....

and yes we were so full that we decided to walk our way to gilmore to buy rico's 4gb mem card for the psp *well i'm gonna use it as well since i use his psp to watch my ultra-to-the-max favorite UGLY BETTY in the office or when we go out of town ;) *

then we watched shrek 3 ... and had a blast...

i thank God for rico...
i thank God that i found a partner that not only i love the most but i enjoy doing crazy things with. i'm glad that we started out as friends which i believe strengthened the foundation of our relationship.

my favorite things

1.habayanas. they're so comfortable yet fahionable. simple yet hard rockin beasts. :) a couple of weeks ago was the make your own havaianas in rockwell. after work , i dragged rico to powerplant and indulged myself to tons of soles , thongs, blings and knick knacks for my "shelas". i've bveen meaning to post some pics of the two pairs i got , probably by tom. i've got a black and pink combo and brown and bronze ones. both has pins attached to them , a star and a mini-havis respectively both silver in color . though i've gotten different feedbacks from people around me regarding the said flip flops , all in all i'm sooo glad i went and got the tsinelas. now i have 3 pairs. and planning to get probably two more. can you believe i was able to persuade rico and kuya niño to buy also a pair of habayanas for themselves.... wah this is something

2. my digicam. last christmas i've got myself a new baby . my casio exilim z600 . it's a 6MP , 3x optical zoom , 2.7 inch LCD. yeah i know, 2.7 inches. that satisfied me in my cravings for pictures. my mom like it as well she wants to keep it :) she used it when she went to SG. my niece used it during her graduation day . i use it practically everyday. i just sooo love it.

3.last week rico and i got new phones. we choose 2 phones. a p990i and a z520i. we were suppose to get the k800 or the z610 (the clamshell which has a very sophisticated casing!) but kent (my teammate) mentioned that one of the best phone you can get these days is p990i which has almost everything, so i mentioned it to rico while we're looking around. he was quite hesitant to get it at first but when i said it is capable of doing all things including WI FI , that did it :) a light bulb went on and he immediately said, i like that , you sure u want it? *pakipot pa c rico* i said YEAH... and he even gave a very big smile when he realized that you can do your spreadsheets in it... well haven't i mentioned in my prev post that adik sa excel c rico ? and that's the story of the p990i..
well the z520i? just looks great with my ipod and digicam

4.well ... i've got a new favorite thing... UGLY BETTY. so sad that we don't have cable , but well if there's a will there's a way ... thank God for video streaming , i , mayu pagtalunan , am able to watch UGLY BETTY...
It was really fascinating how they've reconceptualized the said program. The lights, productions , sets and actors are all good. So happiness....

this is my "very-negative- full-of-ranting i-just-need-this-to-get-out-of-my-chest-post"
i have been meaning to post about my rants about workstuffs these past few days.
i dunno if it's normal but yes i've cried twice already this week because of being left out and reporting for work. i even told my mom already my work rants and fraustrations. she said that i should not say "naiirita na ako at naiinis na ako sa opisina na to" whenever i'm calling her coz people might here me. i always respond, if i won't say it i might loose my mind and end up being a total wacko... i'm glad my mom understood me.

people i know gets their chance on a step higher in the corporate ladder. besides the fact that they have the credentials for it seems like their fairygodmothers are working overnight to give them what they wished for.

how about mayu?
still here ... in her desk ( at least i have my own post!) waiting and waiting and waiting.

i'm tired of waiting. where's my fairygodmother? i know i can do it.ive got a bucketful of experience and knowledge needed but .... still it's copmpletely empty in their eyes. what's missing ? whatelse do they want?

i feel so left out. i'm afraid to go out with my friends and develop another round of self pity boost. they're all team leads , qa, qsp and buc *going to strategist something*. when it comes to me ... agent ... tsr.... sure ive got a very hefty payslip in my sleeves (sure enough when will have our reunion , i bet i'm earning more than some of my classmates who has titles already, if not we are at the same boat in terms of pay ... though i'm not bragging about it or so.. just a logical explanation i hope you're getting my point.)

i know that i can't rant forever and i need to grow up and accept that i cant have everything.
life is full of ups and downs. and i can't be always a winner.

i have been wanting to go to the city of pines again this coming Panagbenga Festival (Feb 23-25) but then seems like it's not going to happen at all...
first , we were too complacent that our accommodation there will be AOK once that we set foot in the cold republic , but then ... suddenly and unfortunately .... there came the big problem... there will be no more house for us to stay in... sadness.... so i quickly rummage the receipts that we got from our last trip there to get the contact number of the hotel where we stayed in... i rushed to the phone and dialled their number... good it's ringing ... and someone answered it ! yehey... then here it goes

my heart sanked in, like being smashed a hundred times ... i sat there and think ... think .. and think.. i went to the pc and checked on-line every possible hotel where we can stay in but it's either the price is too high or they're fully booked already... no way ... we don't wanna waste our money to transient houses which cost as much as a hotel room ... we learned from past experiences.... no way

then i finally realized... no more vacation for mayu

i was crying last night , i know it sounded so weird, corny and annoying for me to react that way but hey , can you blame me... i've been wanting this vacation for the longest time...
it was perfect

for a much needed break from work
for a celebration for my birthday
for one year of togetherness
for the festival atmosphere
for a getaway with family....

yesterday we had a rec event in the office and guess who was there...
it's grimace...

last week umuwi kami ni rico sa bataan..

he met mama for the 2nd time.. 1st time was last year during daddy's wake.. we were at bataan for 3 days and 2 nights... masaya coz we got to spend time together with mama.. we went to daddy just in time for daddy's 1st "birthday"....

we had our csi marathon sa bahay kasi wala naman kami magawa dun kundi manood ng csi.. ng tv at ng friends... thank god for my baby tv and dvds...

ay me isa pa pala kaming walang katapusang ginawa dun... kumain ng pizza shake puto bumbong bibingka burgers at fries...

at opo... kumain c rico ng jollibee sa bataan...

last thursday .. rico had an early christmas gift from santa....
he just bought a new pc.. well not entirely the whole package just the cpu...
he bought an AMD sumthing DUAL CORE... he said that it's the top of the line ... well ... i dunno.. i still cant memorize the specs of the pc... one thing i know... i have installed already SIMS 2... wah... aliw....

havent finished yet SIMS2 in PS2 ....whoa... here comes the PC one... i must admit... playing it in the pc is much fascinating and addicting than the PS2 version....

ok... just after a day of meddling with his new TOY ... my S.O. managed to have his PC infected with spywares already.. he was looking for cracks for the application he needed to make an image of his hard drive... (well listen to me... talking about hard drive imaging... asteeeg! hahaha) ... well
that's my S.O....

so here's the equation
spyware + pc = less time with mayu (hahaha! joke) ....o well he will soon have his pc fixed and ignore me again... hahahaha :)

last saturday we had a date with shelly... it's been like..mga 5-6 months na kaming d nagkikita... to think na were just a couple of buildings away... we ate at big buddha in greenbelt.. and had COLD ROCKS for dessert. twas an ice cream from the land down under..... well such a pricey one for a cup of ice cream pero kakabilib kung pano nila ni preprepare at in fairness masarap talaga.. i had tHE REGULAR AUSSIE VANILLA+DOUBLE CHOCOLATE with KITKAT AND HERSHEY'S Mix iN... SHELLY on the other hand had the VERY STRAWBERRY with Malteesers and choco brownie sumthin...masarap yung napili ko (kasi gusto ni rico me VANILLA) pero mas nagustuhan ko yung strawberry... talagang strawberry person ako... kaya next time that's what i'm havinG!

my S.O. was sooo sleepy the whole time we were in greenbelt... sorry baby!

dad has been gone exactly one year today
it's dejavu once again for me since im sitting here inside this office at the same time , same day though different year....

there is still a bit of pain but i have moved on
i miss him so much
i still long for his songs , for his wonderful imagination, for the stories that i always ask him to tell over and over again

i love him so much.. and im glad that i was able to be with him during the last months of his stay here...he often times visit me in my dreams thus making me miss him more.... :(
( it's so odd that everytime i'm going to have a dream about him... my mom will also has one.. exact same night...** though in my dreams daddy speaks to me.. mom's ? nada no dialogue ** hehehehe)

nakita ko uli yung mga pics sa sumwer up north... lagi ko na lang naiisip ang mga nangyari doon... highlight na kasi yun ng buhay ko kadugtong ng mga pangyayari na nakapagpabago di lamang sakin kundi pati sa mga taong nakapaligid sakin....
nitong mga huling araw naisip isip ko na madami ngang pangyayari sa buhay natin na minsan di mo naman inaasahan ngunit nagkakataon na ito ay nangyayari....

minsan naiisip ko gusto kong magkaroon ng selective amnesia....

may mga bagay akong gustong limutin..
may mga bagay akong gustong baguhin...
ang mga komplikadong bagay gusto kong gawing simple...
ang mga bagay na ninanais ko na sana ako na lang nakaranas... ang ako na lang ang may responsibilidad at wala ng ibang taong masaktan...
gusto kong limutin ang mga masasakit na pangyayari na naranasan ko...
gusto kong limutin ang mga paglisan.. ang mga pagpapaalam
gusto kong limutin ang mga taong nagpadama ng sakit sakin...
ang mga taong nagiging hadlang sa muling pag ngiti ng langit

pero sa isang banda naiisip ko...
hindi ako magiging matatag...
hindi ko malalaman na matapang pala ako...
hindi ako magiging ako...
